Converting Tumblr themes to Blogger.

For a long time I actually wanted to write about this. From several experiments that I have carried out, it has been proven that it is possible to convert a Tumblr theme so that it can be used as a classic Blogger theme.

Why convert? The newest Blogger templates are quite modern already!

I have a few of reasons for this question. First, Tumblr has a variety of interesting themes, both official (uploaded in Theme Garden) and unofficial in the form of bits of code uploaded to Pastebin and the like. I admit that most of the themes there are quite pretty and advanced for today's blogging usage.

Second, the Blogger's new template customization is limited, and it's not much different from the Blogger's old customization. I would rather create my own theme from scratch as good as I can. Apart from that, I also miss the glory days of Blogskins, and there is still a residual feeling of nostalgia that drives me to recreate themes in the style of Blogskins.

So, I say it again: it's possible to convert a Tumblr theme to be usable in Blogger, even though it would not reach 100% accuracy to the original because of the fundamental difference between those two blog platforms despite the codes' equivalents here and there. Understanding HTML, CSS, Tumblr and classic Blogger coding is a must, of course.

Next time, I will tell the basics of conversion somewhere.

Old Blogger classic themes.

When I was cleaning out my Google Drive account, I found three Blogger classic themes in the form of CSS that I had personally created and used, but I had never uploaded them anywhere, including to the Blogskin website which had been shut down for a long time. With a few touches and limited coding knowledge, I almost succeed in turning theme number three below into a new theme. I plan to continue updating all of these themes and sharing them here slowly.

Speaking of Blogskins, I used to upload a lot of old themes from my blog to Blogskins. Unfortunately I no longer have the CSS files. Wayback Machine also doesn't back up my theme files, so I can't download them.

Looks like I have to let them all go. :'(

A journey of the amateur audiophile.

Sorry for the lack of activity. I've been through a lot this year, until I forgot that I actually have a blog that I can use to put anything in, including a random audio review for an example.

Something I forgot to share here is the fact that I have been immersed in the budget audiophile world for many years. It all started with blindly purchasing KZ ZST without checking the trends and recommendations of the time with my first salary as a low paid teacher in a private school. The sound at first was unpleasant and too piercing. It took a little longer for my ears to get used to that kind of sound.

After reopening my abandoned Facebook account, I finally discovered the world of audiophiles. Apparently there are many new in-ear monitors (IEMs) that are better in sound quality and price range. I regret not finding a local audio group on Facebook sooner. As time passed, I ended up having five IEMs, two earbuds and several eartips in a personal collection that remains immovable to this day.

My next wish list is to buy a headphone because it is very inconvenient to wear IEMs while wearing a hijab. Most headphones that are of good quality for the price are more expensive than top-of-the-line IEMs, so I have to start saving now. Apart from that, I want to buy a Digital Audio Player (DAP) that is easy to use but has strong enough power to be used for IEMs and/or headphones. Hiby R3 Gen II and Tempotec V6 are under my radar for now.

Oh, and before ending this blog post, I would like to announce that I am going to publish noob-ish reviews of my audio stuff. Stay tuned. :)

It's over four years.

Hi everyone. I come back to this blog for the umpteenth time.

It has been over four years since I last opened this blog. Indeed, at first I wanted to dispose of this blog on good terms. But for some reason suddenly I thought of posting something here. At the same time as a greeting after years of absence. Actually I came back here because I had to put my Mastodon account link on a website that I own. And all that I have is this place that has been neglected for a long time.

Oh yeah, how are I? I'm fine. There have been many changes in my life and my surroundings after four years. I am no longer unemployed who can only put my own ass at home all day. Now I already have a formal job like most people; have to leave early in the morning and come home in the evening. Behind these four years, there are many things I can tell.

I believe that a person's life path is like a visual novel, where there are every branch that leads that person to the end. Unfortunately in this world, that person cannot jump to another way of life and changes the choice completely. A parallel world exists but that person can only focus on the current life. Sometimes I wonder what if I choose A, B, and so on. So what if I stick to work and end up going crazy? I can't answer that because I'm currently focused on pursuing the path of life that I'm currently choosing. Wish me luck.
